Empowering Education: Through Back to School Project

Introduction

In recent societies, children stay out of school because of all kinds of marginalization, poverty, and community/infrastructural development. This comprehensive report provides an overview of the visit conducted by the Charles Eze Development Foundation at LEA Primary School Iddo Sarki – AMAC, Abuja. The report aims to document the objectives, activities, observations, and recommendations based on the visit, to support the school’s development and enhance its students’ educational experience.

Background

The Charles Eze Development Foundation is an NGO focused on children and youth development with competence in technology, experience in child education, tech innovations, and sensitivity to young people and human rights. The foundation has built its reputation as a frontal organization with the capacity to mobilize and train children and young people both at the rural and urban levels using interpersonal and innovative strategic methodologies to drive home skills and interventions.

The LEA Primary School Iddo Sarki is located at the Abuja Municipal Area Council- AMAC, with over 300 young students across the community. The school is in a rural area bounded by a small river leading to the main city. However, it is a mixed school with teachers recruited by the government under the Abuja Primary Education Authority.

The CED foundation’s mission is to empower the next generation of leaders through human and socio-economic development, to become champions of community development, economic growth drivers, and human rights advocates.
